San Beda Red Lens Photography Club
Red Lens Photography Club of San Beda is composed of genuine Bedans
geared up to surmount life upheavals through taking photographs and
spearheading community involvement activities with the core of
Benedictine values and spirit.
Red Lens as an organization aims
to convey photos that would help define our very own identity as Bedans
in the 21st century. Through covering traditional events within the
hallowed grounds of the crimson institution and by following our teams
in the NCAA, preserving the Bedan animo has never been this fun.
Further,
the organization would also like to extend its grip to our countrymen
who are in need of assistance in education, health, and other various
life necessities. Equipped with Bedan love and care, the club's members
are willing to devote themselves into societal photography that would
help change the world.
And last but not least, the club will
help every member cultivate in the art of photography through arranging
photo seminars, exhibits, and photo walks that would be beneficial for
a photographer's growth. The club will serve as the breeding ground of
student photographers in the college as they aspire for bigger careers
in photography after their Bedan education.
If you are willing

download photos from different San Beda College events and activities
taken by our photographers.
Red Lens Gallery is not limitting
its service to San Beda College events hence allowing members and users
to upload different genres of photographs so that others can view their
work of arts. Another feature of the gallery is the sophisticated
comment system that allows users, members and guest to comment on a
particular photo as it can help photographers to enhance and improve
their works.
Red Lens Gallery as an "online community of Bedan

Cheerdancing has always been a passion for students of San Beda-Alabang, and that passion has been proved once again for the sister school are the back-to-back champions in the WNCAA Cheering Competition. Second runner up went St. Scholastica and first-runner up went to Chang Kai Shek.
But this is not the end of the battle, they are asking for the support of the entire Bedan community again as they face even more difficult schools during the National Cheering Competition scheduled on February 2008. Animo San Beda!!!!

College basketball season has ended for 2007, but for the champion schools, the euphoria lives on even after the lights and the buzz have died down. School spirit doesn't end with basketball, especially for my alma mater, San Beda which is still ecstatic over our back-to-back basketball championship.
Winning two championships in a row was symbolic and humbling. For one, my San Beda-Alabang sent a large contingent to both finals, making the victories even sweeter. For another, Fr. Rector Anscar Chupungco reminded the students of Alabang campus when the Red Lions visited, "They are your team too." Our cry now isn't just, "Animo San Beda" or "Go San Beda Fight!" but it's "One San Beda!" The championship showed how unified the San Beda schools can be despite their differences.
San Beda has a rich colorful culture that we like to think is distinct. That is why there is an ever growing demand to project the Bedan pride in style.

Alright, maybe not really ancient, but the book apparently did come all the way from 1950's. According to ¡Ánimo San Beda!, these books came from the Crispulo Zamora era. The Zamora cup was the most coveted crown during the post-war NCAA. San Beda retired the Cup in 1955.
It's not clear who's the owner of the cheerbook, but ¡Ánimo San Beda! recognizes Stardust (Mr. Alex Bernabe) as the owner of the photo. It's now certain that the photo and the cheerbooks are owned by Mr. Bernabe. It was handed down to him by his maternal aunt, Ms. Felicitas Ventura.
This blogsite is overflowing with beautiful stories and interesting trivias about San Beda and its rich tradition, so make sure to give it a visit.
