As part of reviving San Beda’s old traditions amicas.multiply.com made statement shirts depicting San Beda’s old Spanish Cheer, “El Colegio de San Beda Tiene que ganar!” which means “We must win.” Modeled by Erika Tazia Burgos, 15, the co-captain of the squad, exudes the passion and spirit of a true performer, that is why she’s a natural posing for the camera.College basketball season has ended for 2007, but for the champion schools, the euphoria lives on even after the lights and the buzz have died down. School spirit doesn't end with basketball, especially for my alma mater, San Beda which is still ecstatic over our back-to-back basketball championship.

“Bedista” shirt by http://sanbeda.carloisles.com, Kyla Bautista, at 14, is one of the youngest in the team. But cheer dancing has taught her maturity, tolerance in dealing with different personalities in the team, a trait that keeps them united.Winning two championships in a row was symbolic and humbling. For one, my San Beda-Alabang sent a large contingent to both finals, making the victories even sweeter. For another, Fr. Rector Anscar Chupungco reminded the students of Alabang campus when the Red Lions visited, "They are your team too." Our cry now isn't just, "Animo San Beda" or "Go San Beda Fight!" but it's "One San Beda!" The championship showed how unified the San Beda schools can be despite their differences.

San Beda has a rich colorful culture that we like to think is distinct. That is why there is an ever growing demand to project the Bedan pride in style.

Klea Rico, 16, was exposed to dancing at a young age, which made her to try cheerleading. Being the team captain, she was given the task as the unifier of the whole team. She models “School Pride Magnified! Go San Beda Fight!” by Ryan Arambulo 09276275566.San Beda-inspired shirts have been around for a long time, made by countless alumni. They have steered clear of noisy promotion, and opted instead to dawn quietly on the student market. After all, such merchandise was never a means to brag or show off, but a medium to express love of school.

Surely there are more colors to choose from, aside from blue and green. There is red. (Remember, studies show that red is the most eye-catching color.)

We asked students from San Beda-Alabang to don this school fashion. While the mother school in Mendiola is passionate with basketball, the Alabang campus is passionate with cheer dancing. They too are vying for a back-to-back win in the WNCAA Cheerdance Competition on Nov. 28 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. The competition starts at 12 pm.

Another shirt by amicas.multiply.com, “I’m a Bedan! Need I say more?”, Lourdes Crawford, 16, is one of the most quiet and most timid in the team, but a fierce streak envelops her once it’s time to perform.Jillian Naval, 16, is an optimist which makes her the “clown” of the team. She takes pleasure in making her teammates laugh and spirits up.  Iara Saberon, 16, is a graduating senior. Having a mature demeanor, she’s silent and observant, which makes her the “older sister” of the team.

Amazing how pretty and beautiful Bedan Ladies look in their red blooded Bedan fashion attire. Suggest that one day in the week is designated as Bedan Fashion Day. How about the men? This one way of projecting School spirit. Reminder: BE HUMBLE IN YOUR PRIDE.

I hope 'San Beda College Mediola Campus' will be exclusive boys again...'Like the Old Times' where the Brotherhood and Comaraderie develop and exist... And Continue the true Bedan culture of of being Class but Humble, Elegant but Simple and a trully God Fearing Filipino...
